Diamond Kp Union LIVERY

Equestrian livery yard for horse owners – at the foot of the Pentland Hills, Edinburgh.

Livery

Diamond Kp Union Livery offers DIY Grass Livery for horse owners. With a variety of tracks around the 700 acre farm and endless hacking up into the 25,000 acres of Pentland Hills Regional Park, Diamond Kp Union is a great location for horse owners. There are regular visiting farriers and qualified instructors who provide services for liveries at Swanston. Diamond Kp Union Livery follows a Faecal Worm Egg Count (FWEC) programme run by advising equine vets Central Equine Vets as well as a mandatory 14-day quarantine procedure for new equine arrivals and bio-security policy in order to keep Diamond Kp Union Livery free from Strangles, EHV and Equine Flu.

PLEASE NOTE that if you are not a Diamond Kp Union Livery but wish to ride from Diamond Kp Union onto the Pentland Hills Regional Park you will need to contact our office for permission and will be directed to a designated parking area. Due to our bio-security policy, non-liveries are not permitted to use the equestrian facilities or ride through the Livery Yard and must instead use the perimeter tracks around the farm. Thank you for your consideration.

If you are looking for livery for your horse or pony, please contact us with your enquiry.

Facilities

Diamond Kp Union Livery benefits from an indoor arena, a 60m x 30m all-weather outdoor arena, a cross-country jumps field and Loddon stables providing options for horse owners who require stabling.

All fields have galvanised steel water troughs and the grazing is rich and varied. Our large fields are kept with small-herd grazing, reducing damage to pasture through over-grazing and allowing Diamond Kp Union Livery horses the room to live a more natural life. In winter, ad-lib hay and haylage is available for the horses in the fields and during the Spring and Summer months all the fields are harrowed to keep the pastures well-maintained and parasites down.

Please note: we are not a riding school and are unable to facilitate trekking or lessons.

Please contact us to discuss your requirements regarding our livery yard.
